Skype Click to Call

Besides voice and video calls between computers, Skype gives you the possibility of making cheap PC to phone calls. When you see a phone number on a website, you can simply copy the number, paste into Skype and make the call. If you don't want to bother copying a number and opening Skype, then Skype Click to Call is for you. It enables you to call any number you see on your web browser, by simply clicking the number. It recognizes phone numbers from anywhere in the world and it allows you to choose different country codes before making a call.

Essentially, Skype Click to Call is a browser plug-in. It is fully supported by Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. Installing the plug-in doesn't take more than a minute and it doesn't involve any complex settings. When the operation is complete, you only need to restart your browser and Skype Click to Call will be fully operational.

The only difference you will notice, after installing Skype Click to Call, is the fact that phone numbers will be colored blue and a small Skype icon will appear next to them. If you hover with the mouse cursor over a blue phone number, a pop-up menu will display two options, for calling the number and for adding it to your contacts list. Obviously, if you click the Call option, Skype will show up on your screen and it will automatically dial the number.

Even if the application is not running, Skype will open and sign you in immediately, when you click a Call option. It will also ask for confirmation before dialing, to avoid accidental costs. Of course, you can deactivate the query if you want to or keep it, if you wish to select a different country code before dialing the number.

You will need Skype credit to make a phone call, but certain numbers are free to call. They are labeled accordingly, so you won't have any difficulties spotting them. Also, Skype Click to Call will let you know if a number is free or not, in the same pop-up menu, beneath the Call and Add options.
